New House...

Joshua & Kathryn Closed on their first house 9.19.09

Here are the pics from our big day!

At the "Edgewater Crossing" office - becoming a slave to the lender!
(Brenda, our agent through thick and thin in the background)

Entering through the backdoor to our NEW home!!!
... but wait...

We need to do this properly after 5 years, 13 days and 20 hours of marriage...
I finally fulfilled a promise of a house for ourselves.

This little black folder has all the important stuff in it...
it represents patience, frustration, dreams, promises and adventure over the last 3 months.

"Last Meal"
We treated Emrys and Usha (Kathryn's parents) to "Matteo's Resturante" as our last nice meal since it is beans and rice (or, rather, curry & rice), from now on!

=================
New Dog pics

This is Crystal Paroubek

She is very energetic compared to Claire...( 2 years younger)

She is finding her place in our family (next to daddy at night!)

She is very sweet when relaxed, softer than Claire
(no kidding!)

Yep, both sisters are getting use to each other!
That is a "good thing" (as Martha Stewart might say)

Chillin' with Mommy.
Both dogs are beagles outside when we go walking...
but inside they turn into breathing pillows!

Thanks for visiting!!!!

JOSH

It is starting to take shape like a real office!!!

New shelves for Usha's storage (BSSI and food)
We call them "Matt Shelves"

======================================
And here is the pics of Claire's new roomate:

"Crystal Paroubek" Adopted Sept 5th, 2009 (1 day after our 5th anniversary)
From: Lafayette, Indiana "Crystal Creek Kennels" (hence the name)
She is a licker!!! We are breaking that habit, needs some help with sharing and socialization with dog also.
She is a cutie, loves to cuddle, her and Clarie already had their first brawl (probably of 4-5 this month).
She is a beagle cross with ??? not a pug (as advertised)... but probably a german pincher or dachshund?
She will come around in the next 2-3 months and and be a good invitation.. she is 2 years old.
And we like her already... good listener and learns fast...
(the family grows....)

Update 7.28.09

It's 4am and we are getting ready to travel to the upper midwest for 12 days. Here is where we stand with the remodel. When we return we will be running wire, insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, mudding, and then finally furniture (desks). So we still have a ways to go. But first things first (wedding and visiting family, and talking to churches over the next 2 weeks).

Prayers are always appreciated!

Construction Begins!

The long awaited process of the storefront/storeroom has begun the transition into a office room, meeting center, media center, bathroom, and some storage and the "Official Headquarters of Benevolent Social Services of India" (B.S.S.I.).

enjoy the shots...

First, remove the articles in said "room"

Kaleb (left) and Matt (right) helping out...
(you can kind of see the new entrance from the living room on right
and the stage in front, 10 inches high, will step down into desk area.)

Finishing the door before bed (1am)

(there will be a wall put up here by next weekend,
and hopefully drywall also!)

We are also working for 6-7 hours on it today (Sunday afternoon)
more pictures later this week... enjoy this so far!

Hey everyone.

Here is a little more of what we have been up to (for the "inlaws" mostly).

n'joy

The "Shed"

Working on some landscaping
and a new parking spot in the backyard.
(in process, will have mulch up front,
and rock to park on eventually)

Cleaning out the Storefront for construction.

Okay, more ... sometime... maybe next weekend.
We are busy living life, and catching up with our "to do" list.

Thanks for checking in.
