Today I helped Kathryn reorganize our room, and finally put the last touches on her barrels for the store room. Her hands are just about cured, so we didn’t want to push it. It feels great to finally be done (although about 3 days later than planned) with big project #1 for mom. And only a day after mother’s day . Now… for projects 2,3,4,5… for dad.
Here are a couple shots of the final room. It still is a little more ‘packed’ than I wanted. But it is as good as she is gonna get. The barrels and all top chests are empty on the shelf.
Most of the barrels that we got rid of (over 20 from this room alone, another 10 from the roof) we broke down into the several chests you see on the wall here.
So, final tally… 7 barrels of books for the in-laws. 3 barrels of books for Robert. 2 for Kathryn. This family likes books! good for me (since I had over 20 boxes of books last time we moved).
After this Kathryn took a break. I clean up our room, moved some stuff around, and mopped up the dirt/dust. Boring housework, but needed to be done (for good sleep, less stress, you know).
I met with Balraju again this evening. He is the new guy – being trained to take about 30-40% of my father-n-law’s headaches from him. He’s a great guy. I think Vincent, Balaraju and I will be going down to Thirupati (the big city) later this week or next to visit the Agri-College). Perhaps there are some ways that we can help the back 10 acres of nothing…
Some evening food, conversation and an early bed. Exercise begins again tomorrow. Gotta make weight you know. (the power just went off at 8:30pm… not expected… then flashed on for a few seconds… a very bad sign).
Prayers: For our conversations as we are dealing with some deep, philosophical, budget and future planning areas. These are important conversations over the next two weeks. I could really use prayers for note taking, understanding and being able to ask the right questions.
