Typical Monday.

(A picture from the harvest)

Today we arose to find that the 3rd of our 3 phase power had finally burnt out. In India you get power in three phases. When the 3rd phase is active (I should say all 3 phases), you can run things… like say…air conditioning!!! We had an emergency with the electricity meter 10 days ago, of course the company said they would return in 2 days to fix the problem and install a new meter. 10 days later... crash!!!

On the bright side. I am feeling much better today. So much that I ate some fried fish. And it was good! Yep, that same fish from yesterday. I am glad that I could actually taste it.

This afternoon was spent sweating, reading, sweating, talking with Kathryn, sweating, spending some time laughing and talking with Vincent, sweating and catching up on a few emails. Nothing outstanding. We are about 10 days from leaving the hospital… so this is a critical time to create that list of “to do's” for the next 6 months, at least.

Seeing that the in-laws will be in the states in September… it is critical that we get started with several things before their visit. Plus I will be working on “my side” of stuff.

Kathryn and her mother went to town tonight to do some shopping. You know the special things like electrolyte packets and 7up.

So, yep. Mondays are Mondays also in India… nothing new about that.

Prayers: RAIN. Enough said. Really pray for this, I am not kidding, especially for the crops. And to pray that we make use of our time, and can get a focused plan for the next 6 months. And 3rd current power so we can fill the water tank and have A/C.

Thanks for checking in today, sorry we didn’t save the world.
